    Movies were an important during the 1920's because it got peoples mind off the horrors of WW1.  The 1920's had the greatest output of films with an average of 800 films produced annually.  In 1923 the first sycronized sound track came out.   1927 was very big year for the movie industry changed dramatically.   The reasearch in films changed such as talking- picture technologies were created by Warner Bro's' Vitaphone and their competitors such as Movie Tone made by Western Electric and Photophone made by RCA.   85 percent of all movies were made in or near Hollywood, California.
