New African American art literature bring new ideas, music, and literature to America due to the Harlem Renaissance beginning in 1920. This was the new beginning of new artists and writers such as Palmer Hayden, and Langston Hughes. Therefore these writers gained major popularity at this time. The scribble technique was soon develpoed by Florence Cane. At the time many therapists used this tecnique, and it was now introduced into the schools in the early twentieth century. This tecnique developed creativity and individuality into the classrooms of the school.
