She began touring with the Jones family band and the dixie Steppers in 1919.
She began as a chorus girl in the two bands.
In the early 1920's she was in a comedy skit at the Plantation Club in New York.
She had little success until she traveled to Paris to start in the show, La Reveu Negre.
This was the real start of her career. She became extremley popular in her dance routine.
Her show was very new, exotic, and very popular.
Charles Chaplin
Born in April 16th 1889 in walworth london.
Charles was thought of by many people as the greatest comedian of all time. Nicknamed "Charlie" or "The Little Tramp".
At only age five Charles had his first stage apperance. In november of 1913 charles signed a contract with Mack Sennett and left for hollywood.
He began acting in 1913 for Sennetts Keystone Company appearing in short silent films.
Chaplins' common roll play in his short films was often a funny character who wore baggy pants, large shoes and a derby hat.
He was known for his "Penquin walk". Around 1914, after his 13th film, Chaplin began to direct his own films.
His films were very sucessful, they say that he revlutionized comedy into an art form his first directed films included The Tramp, The Immigrant and A Dogs Life.
In 1919 Chaplin joined to form United Artists and in the 20's produced some of his very well-known films such as The Kid, The Circus and The Gold rush.
Chaplin began to take his films a little more seriously, including topics like politics where he produces The Modern Times (1936)
About 4 years later he produced The Great Dictator his first dialogue film.
In 1952 he was swept up in anti-Communist hysteria and was accused by the U.S of having Communist tendencies.
This made him very upset so he left America and moved to Switzerland. He made 2 more films in Switzerland.
While he was in exile he wrote My Autobiography in 1964 and directed his late movie A Countless from Hong Kong in 1966.
Charles returned to the U.S in 1875 to hollywood to claim his Oscar honoring his lifetime atributions to movies.
He was named kinght Commander of British Empire in 1975. He died of old age in 1977 december 25th in Switzerland.
Charles Chaplin was very well known as a wonderful actor and producer in the 1920's and his legacy still continues to this day.

Warren G. Harding
Warren G. Harding was born on November 2, 1865 in Corsica, Ohio. He was our 29'th president and he ran from 1921 to 1923. He was elected president during the aftermath of WWI. The country was in desperate need of a fresh and stable government. Harding eas just the guy for the job. He helped out America when we needed it most. He helped employment, helped with the nations budget, and promoted agricultural business. He was assassinated in August of 1923, and the killer was never found.
